The Tarot Apprenticeship

Within 14 days of each application, you will receive an answer from the facilitator and be sent a non-refundable deposit invoice to cement your place on the course. It is recommended to do this as soon as possible, but all deposits must be sent before January 31st 2026, or your application will be rejected.

Absolutely not.

This apprenticeship will take you through 23 live lessons on the entire Tarot Deck from Major Arcana to the Minor Arcana as well as the 'Reversed' polarity of these cards, and is there to be experienced in multiple ways, through learning, creativity, connection to the archetypes, meditation, spiritual ritual/ceremony, and group sharing. 

You can join even if you've never had a reading, seen a card before, or have a clue where to start. On the flip side, even if you've been doing readings for years the somatic, spiritual, creative, and soul-led way you will learn each card will deepen your wisdom, and knowledge equally. 

The Apprenticeship starts on the week of the 23rd of March 2026, and will be completed by March 24th 2027. 

We will meet for a live learning session in the structure of every two (2) weeks, with breaks in between for reflection, personal learning, and to allow time to book group/1-1 practice sessions. 

It is important due to the spiritual nature of this course that there is ample time to be able to complete the workbooks and personal assignments, which will be set at the end of each live session, to deepen your connection to all that was learnt. 

There will also be a break in December + early January for students to enjoy the mid-winter and any celebrated holidays. 

Participation in the live sessions is highly recommended but not mandatory. 

Video Recordings, learning materials, transcripts, and set personal working assignments will be sent to each student within 48 hours of each live session, for students to catch up if they cannot attend a live session.

Please note that although the program fosters a 'participation consent' culture where students may choose what they participate in, and to the depth they do their work, to become accredited, quantitative results must be measured of your learning, and readiness to take the next steps as an accredited Tarot Oracle. 

Students who complete the course and attend the 'dedication/celebration' session but do not receive accreditation will receive a 'certificate of completion' but are not considered to be either certified or accredited Tarot Readers, and do not have permission post-course to state accreditation/certification. 

This is to ensure that only ethically sound and high-quality Tarot readers use the Priestess Jade name and the reputation of the Tarot Apprenticeship program and community... but also, there is no point in paying and receiving 12 months' worth of content unless you get something practical and usable out of it in the end! 👍

Information about accreditation is as follows: 

With accreditation, it is to prove that each student has both the knowledge of the Tarot cards, but can also perform the task of a Tarot Reader, which is to take the information, and the intuitive power of the tool, and offer ethically sound advice on the chosen cards. 

1) To receive accreditation, all students must have a 'satisfactory' marked practice reading at the end of the course with the facilitator, to prove that students are aware of the cards, can hold space for clients, and have taken on board the program's teachings & methods. 

To help students prepare for the reading, the apprenticeship offers students 2x free practice sessions with the facilitator, with practical advice, and if students require any further support, additional practice sessions with feedback are available for purchase at £30 per hour. 

As well as this, 3x group practice sessions are written into the syllabus, where the course facilitator will be present for feedback and advice. Students may also choose to have as many group practice sessions with other students as they would like, and can request the course facilitator to be present for additional support/feedback in those cases for £30 per hour (fee can be split between present students). 

Ample advice and methods for marking the 'satisfactory' reading will be made available within the first 6 months of the course. 

Students may also retake the accreditation-marked readings as many times as they like within three (3) months of course completion, at a fee of £24 per hour for facilitator's time.  

2) To receive accreditation, all students will be asked to complete a written assignment on the tarot, where 5 cards will be imaged in a spread, and students will offer written answers to questions about the cards, the spread, and possible outcomes, meanings, and advice if a client were to receive this particular spread in a paid reading. 

Students who have additional needs will be able to submit this work as a voice/video recording with a transcript. 

To prepare for this, students will have ample workbooks and personal assignments outside of the live sessions to get used to writing and expressing the Tarot, meanings of the cards, with possible advice, depending on the types of questions a client may ask about the card's advice on a life happening. 

After the first 6 months, multiple mock assignments are available post-live learnings as part of course homework, so students have plenty of time to see assignment structure, the types of questions that will be asked, and plenty of facilitator feedback/advice to prepare for accreditation. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: I do not want to put anyone off of the course for fear that assignments are hard, after 23 live sessions, 3x group practice sessions, 2x 1-1 practice sessions, multiple homework assignments, and community support from the incredible apprentices around you, accreditation is the final step to say, yes you can with full certainty and confidence hold space for clients using Tarot, and I have no doubt any student who is serious about the course content will not easily succeed. 

Accreditation is a great tool for those who are building their Tarot businesses and reputation, as a stamp of approval from day one that you have learnt the ropes, and can provide a good service. 

... And with the rise of AI bots and scam artists, readers with proven devotion and experience in the craft are all the more sought after in-person, online, on switchboards, and at local events/fayres.

If you do not already have a deck/chosen deck to work with for the duration of the 12-month apprenticeship, then it is advised to pick up a Tarot Deck that either intuitively calls to you, the imagery calls to you, or you have a curiosity for. 

There are no recommended decks; however, we do ask not to include the 'Thoth' Tarot deck based simply on the difference in the scope of meanings of these cards vs. the traditional aspects of Tarot. 

It also does not matter if the Suits- Swords, Wands, Cups, or Pentacles are named something else; similarly, it does not matter if the Courts- Pages, Knights, Queens, or Kings are named something else. Most tarot decks have meaningful links that are directly influenced by the Rider-Waite cards. 

The facilitator will be using a few decks throughout the apprenticeship to show the importance of subtle differences in cards, and to encourage student creativity/intuition. 

Please Note: You do not have to remain with the same deck for the entire apprenticeship; some may wish to trial multiple decks, or keep a few decks with them to see the differences in the decks that they own. 

All recordings of live sessions are emailed to each student with personal working assignments within 48 hours of the live session, as well as added to our private social media group around the same time. 

All course content is available if you never join the lives, and you just watch the recordings; however, we would ask that students do attempt to make time to join live events, especially the first and last event of the year, as an absolute minimum. 

A key benefit of this course is having a community of people to share in live discussion, ritual, and experiential learning, and you cannot beat it. 

Live sessions are frequently bi-weekly, but this apprenticeship has multiple breaks during the integration training, and to set up time for group/1-1 practice sessions and Q&As to ensure not to overwhelm students over the year. 

I am aware that things happen, learning comes with an ebb and flow, and due to the spiritual nature of the content, learning may take breaks. 

Live sessions will take 2.5 hours, and are spaced out as 23 sessions over the year. The above 'syllabus document' has dates to ensure planning for live participation or catch-up in between is easy for each student. 

On average, each homework is recommended to take between 2-3 hours between each session. This will depend heavily on how students wish to participate in their home learning; some find it easier to write/journal, some to record, some to experience the learning. 

It is imagined that the heaviest months of the training may offer up to 8-9 hours of participation time (not including optional group/1-1 practice sessions), but some months will require less participation time.

A mixture of wisdom and knowledge is needed to be a good Tarot Reader, and all of the wisdom and knowledge I possess will be yours in this training. 

We will be looking at the more 'traditional' aspect of tarot's themes, apart from inferring that a certain archetype must represent a certain gender of person. Otherwise, the key themes of the Major, Minor Arcana, Suits, Numerics, and Court cards are explored in depth. 

Yet, the intuitive side is the fun part! What does it truly mean to 'feel' a Tower moment? We've all had one, but what is the embodied experience of that card? What does it represent, what is the shadow lurking, and what is the silver lining? Who are they if they were a person to you? 

All of these questions help you to feel confident that no matter what card you pick in whatever situation, you know exactly what could be experienced by your client, and advise accordingly. 

Each participant is also encouraged to bring their own deck, because to connect with the Tarot is to know the energy of your tools. Every chosen deck has slightly different imagery and energy; it is important to have a 'wholeness' approach to learning it all, and this apprenticeship will offer a snapshot at it all.

Please be aware that the program leader is a proudly diagnosed neurodiverse woman (AuDHD), all learning is varied to allow for any person to learn in a way that suits them. 

This apprenticeship aims to have a consent and choice-based culture where participation is via consent, and there is absolute permission given at all times to honour your self-care needs, stim, ask questions, move, take breaks, and conceptualise assigned personal work outside of live classes in your own way.
